You Can't Save The World Alone

Are you in love with Marvel? Do you have an affinity for DC? 

There are these two parties. And then then there is a third party who just enjoy both, no inclination to one kind.

I, if  to speak truly, like DC. Not that I enjoy Marvel less, but DC kind of gets me. And Warner Bros have done a commendable job of bringing out DC movies which are of a different tone that Marvel.

Marvel is very enjoyable, It's fun to watch them. There is always a comical side to each Marvel movie which has till now been a rarity in DC. I find Captain America Civil War to be the best of Marvel. It was a matured and serious in tone, and of course it got so many accolades.

Coming to DC, Christopher Nolan gave us the Dark Knight Trilogy. And Nolan is a unique director. You hardly find comic moments in his films. So was the Batman films. And I think, his way of showing matured Dark superhero films started the seriousness of the DC films after that. 

DC Extended Universe started with Man of Steel ( It is is my Favorite after Original Sam Raimi Spider-man and The Dark Knight). The movie was serious. Then came Batman V Superman, it was very serious. Suicide Squad had lighter moments so did Wonder Women.

I find it hard why people don't like Serious movies. One cannot expect all superhero movies to be like fun filled Marvel. There has to be some difference. And DC and Warner bring out that difference. But lately, due to comments form critics and audience, DC has tried including comedy moments in DC as evident in Justice League too. So keeping aside all the comments and endless discussion of which is better, let us enjoy both Marvel and DC and give them their deserved credits of film-making.

Serious and Dark films give a spine chilling thrill that I seek.

Coming to Justice League, apart from action scenes and the general Dark tone of the film, I have found some moments very passionately and emotionally made. 

At the beginning, A smartphone video shows Super-man being interview by Kids, kind of gives the feel that there WAS Superman. That emotion of his death hits us. and so a kindle of hope arises for his Resurrection. I felt GOOD. Those who have lost loved one; this scene will kind of give a hope, even if for a fraction of second, if just for sake of the heart; that if it may be possible to bring back our loved ones. 

The entire promotion never showed Superman, made us feel, if he really is there, even though it was confirmed Henry Cavil is acting in the movie. It is all a make-believe situation. Finally, images were released with Superman included in ALL IN.

The movie rolls to Huge Dark banners of S symbol hanged in different cities to remember Superman. Martha Kent is forced to leave her home due to foreclosure. She hops on a trailer and leaves her Smallvile home.

Later Martha meets Lois. They talk about Clark and consoles each other. Martha mentions "Mother-in-Law' word to Lois as in she is her son's wife, though he is dead even before they could become a family. This brings an emotion that, people try to conjure relationships, that might have been possible but due to loss, it has became impossible, forever. And yet, still, wish deep in their hearts; If Only, it can be made a reality.

The Amazonian battle against Steppenwolf was engrossing. It again showed Women Power so splendidly. They defend the Mother Box, sacrifice by locking themselves up with Steppenwolf in the domes chamber, so that few can escape. And those amazing fight scenes blew my mind. 

I think DC has given due importance to Women centered films, we are yet to see a Black Widow/ Scarlet Witch standalone movie. DC came out with Wonder-Woman; Gal Gadot and Patty Jankins did a wonderful job, praised wholeheartedly by many.

Superman is finally resurrected with help of incubation waters in the Kryptonian ships and mother Box. He jumps and lands by the side of his own broken monument. Clark is confused and in partial shock. He is confronted by Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Flash. Accidentally, Cyborg fires at Clark, He gets angry and attacks them.

It is here, where it is shown how much has been Bruce Wayne right in holding onto his argument of bringing Superman back to Life. He knows that Clark can stop Steppenwolf, They cannot fight alone. Clark is needed.

All of their Superpower goes to vain in front of Superman. Even Flash fast speed is of no use, he realises that Superman can easily handle his super-fast speed. In slow motion video, we are shown that Flash is no match, in fraction of million of a second, Superman can overpower him with much better agility.

Batman arrives and Clark recognises him, attacks him , to which Batman applies his Contingency Plan of bringing in Lois and so Superman calms down. He embraces her and flies her to Smallville.

The scene of the farmland in front of Martha's home, signifies how much is Clark still is a Country boy. Among the crops, Clark stands feeling them and recollecting his fond memories. Lois closes to him. Clarks says out, "I will take that as a Yes.".  She asks' "What?". He replies, "The Ring". She wore the ring at his funeral.  They embrace each other, and the whole scenery is taken in the Golden Hours of the day when the sky is gold and and sun rays kind of fall like kissing on your cheeks gently.

He realises that Martha is on her way to home.She arrive and steps out of the car. As we see, a mother's love, even though he is adopted, Martha's highly emotional response to his comeback and them hugging tightly signifies us how much a son has regard for his mother who has done so much selflessly and unconditionally. And a mother who knows her Son is a boon for her no matter how tough life is.

These scenes made me look at the movie in a different way. In spite of heavy actions and tons of CGI, they have been able to keep the film grounded to emotional level mainly LOVE.

DO watch this movie guys. It is worth it. 

And Yes, there are definitely Comedy moments, Courtesy The Flash and the scenes are hilarious. Enjoy the film.
